How to Copy Email Addresses From a Spreadsheet to Address an Email

Often we have lists of email addresses saved in spreadsheet format.  You want to copy the list of addresses into the address form for your email program, but when you try to paste they are not recognized as valid email addresses.  Usually, the problem is a missing comma to separate the addresses. The email program expects “comma separated values” when a series of addresses are pasted.  But the addresses from the spreadsheet are separated by spaces and a hidden new-line character which the email program ignores.

There is an easy way to add the missing comma to dozens or even hundreds of email addresses in you spreadsheet so that they can be successfully cut-and-pasted in the address fields of your email form.  This downloadable PDF gives detailed instructions. Once you have done it the first time, you’ll get how it works and be able to do it faster than it can be read or explained.
